Our latest Diamond STD G1000 Part Task Trainers

Our new range of G1000 training devices being developed for certification include the following aircraft models;

 

DA20 Katana
DA40-180 (Lycoming) and DA40 TDI
DA42 Lycoming and DA42 TDI

 

Additional aircraft will include the C172/C182 with G1000

Meeting the JAR FCL STD4a / STD3A & FAA Certification Standards (Level 3 - Level 5) AC-120-45a

 

The core features of the devices listed above will permit certifiable flight training to the following JAR FCL and FAA FTD standards. The term STD (Synthetic Training Device) will be used throughout this page and refers to the respective JAA Requirements (JAR), i.e. JAR-STD and JAR-FCL.

The new Diamond Elite product series is designed for basic and advanced pilot, instrument, navigation and procedures training and can be certified under JAR-STD 3(A) FNPT II. The device may also be used for skill tests, revalidation and renewal as well as for instructor training. Exact details are outlined in the respective paragraphs of the JAR-FCL. The devived offered are a further development of the Diamond Elite product series. The STD will be built by Diamond-Elite Simulation Industries, a jointly owned company by Diamond Aircraft Industries (DAI) and ELITE Simulation Solutions AG.

The STD's offered will feature accurate aerodynamics, systems replication and complex aircraft instruments simulation.

The following aspects are considered as being key issues of DA42 STD, DA40 STD & DA20 STD:

  • The STD's will be modelled closely after the relevant aircraft. Original hardware supplied by DAI will be used wherever possible and economically feasible to achieve the most realistic cockpit environment. This will especially be achieved by using aircraft specific cockpits, seats, controls, pedals, throttle, etc. from the aircraft.

    • The flight model will be based on data from the manufacturer as well as on additional flight tests of the aircraft. The flight tests are being performed in close cooperation between DAI (Diamond Aircraft Industries) and ELITE.

    • Wherever possible, software is used to replicate aircraft systems, radio communication and navigation systems and their instruments including basic instruments.

    • Original hardware of the G1000 will be used and integrated into the simulation.

    • The STD will be furnished with a representative, electrically operated control loading system (dependant on requirement) for primary and secondary flight controls.

    • The STD will be delivered with an instructor station including all required functionalities such as repositioning, database selection, map page, meteorological page to program static and dynamic weather situations and a malfunctions page.

    • The STD is capable to simulate malfunctions of the simulated systems.

    • The STD will be supplied with the requested navigation databases.

    • The offer includes one-channel external visual systems.

    • The STD will be delivered with an enclosed instructor station. Cockpit access is planned via top access as in the aircraft.

    • Any specific requirements of the Authorities (UK CAA require a standby turn coordinator) will be met.
